It's not my favourite type with exaggerated parent figures and situations, but this is a prime example of a cheaply made festive film that wins you over because of the heart that it contains. I love Christmas films and the made for TV ones keep me going through the season from about October and sometimes in to February so I'm used to this style of production. I was absolutely expecting to hate this, imagining some badly made gay film on a low budget or a badly made Christmas film on a low budget, but actually it was a badly made Christmas film that was also gay with a low budget!
